Clarion DXZ386USB CD/USB/MP3WMA review

Bought this headunit a couple of weeks ago for a friends birthday present, checked it out at my local autobarn, then purchased on ebay for $134 + $10 post.
For this you get one of the best value head units that is out currently!
It has 3 pre outs, full ipod control, cd/mp3/wma/acc and cd stacker control along with AUX in (3.5mm jack)and a remote.

This was the cheapest solution I could find from anybrand which provided full ipod control through the head unit, it charges the ipod and displays song title/album on the screen.

The car it was installed into was a 94 Toyota Corolla, which was quite an easy vehicle to put the new cd player in.

The only downside to this player is the small screen and fiddly controls, to access menus and setting it can be quite hard on a one line LCD but this is the trade off you take with a headunit with good features and low price!

Wiimote Whiteboard IR Pen with high angle LED

Been making a few of these lately and playing with the software made by Johnny Chung Lee (www.johnnylee.net) in order to create interactive whiteboards.

Here are some pictures, these have evolved after a few pens that I have made.

I have found that Hi angle IR led's must be used in order for these to be useable, because the pen is pointing towards the screen not the Wii mote when in use, it is hard for the wii mote to pick up the IR single unless it is when with good intensities at high angles.

also please contact me if you would like to purchase one of these, $15 each.
